    Evidence is insufficient. Mouse work provides the rationale: NAD+ decline has been linked to impaired mitochondrial unfolded protein response in muscle stem cells, and NAD+ precursor administration improved stem cell function and regenerative capacity in aged mice, including in muscle, intestinal and neural stem cell populations. That is genuinely interesting preclinical biology. It has not been tested in humans. Human NMN trials at 250-1,000 mg/day over 6-12 weeks measured blood NAD+, insulin sensitivity, aerobic capacity and walking speed. Assessing stem cell pools in living people requires tissue biopsy and specialised assays, so there is no human data on stem cell number, function or regenerative capacity with NMN, and no non-invasive way for an individual to assess it.
