- Evidence is insufficient. In aged mice, intermittent fisetin reduced senescent cell burden in bone marrow and adipose tissue and improved measures of haematopoietic and mesenchymal progenitor function - the rationale being that senescent cells secrete inflammatory factors that degrade the stem cell niche. No human study has examined stem cell number, function or niche quality after fisetin, and there is no practical clinical measure of it. This is an animal finding described as a human outcome.
