- Evidence is insufficient. The headline finding is real but is a mouse finding: intermittent fisetin given to mice from 85 weeks of age extended median lifespan by around 10% and improved healthspan markers, an unusually robust result for a late-life intervention. There is no human lifespan data for fisetin and there cannot be for decades - lifespan trials in humans are impractical, so the field relies on surrogate markers that have not themselves been validated. Human trials to date use about 20 mg/kg/day for two days monthly and measure inflammatory and functional markers, not survival.
