    Evidence indicates no demonstrated effect. Cell culture and rodent studies show resveratrol influences stem cell biology in various directions - promoting osteogenic differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells, reducing senescence in cultured stem cells, affecting haematopoietic and neural stem cell proliferation - though findings are dose-dependent and sometimes contradictory, with higher concentrations inhibiting proliferation. No human trial has measured circulating progenitor cells, tissue stem cell pools, or any stem cell endpoint after resveratrol supplementation. The concentrations used in cell culture are also typically 10-100 times higher than plasma levels achievable orally, given bioavailability under 1%.
