- If so, 100 mg oral thiamine daily with food; check ferritin, B12 and thyroid function too, since fatigue rarely has a single cause

- If you are replete, expect nothing - controlled trials of B-vitamin dosing in replete adults show no consistent effect on subjective energy

Safety
Caveats
Energy claims for B vitamins in replete people are marketing, not evidence. Persistent fatigue needs investigation for anaemia, thyroid disease, sleep apnoea and depression. No established toxic oral ceiling for thiamine; parenteral forms carry rare anaphylaxis risk. Safe in pregnancy at normal doses, and specifically needed in hyperemesis gravidarum under medical care.
