Overview
The foot contains 26 bones, 33 joints and over a hundred soft-tissue structures, so foot pain is a location rather than a diagnosis — but a few conditions dominate. Root Causes

Systemic inflammation, crystal deposition and nerve disease generate pain through entirely different, non-mechanical pathways.

Burning, numb or insensitive feet in diabetes need regular review. New multi-joint swelling with morning stiffness warrants inflammatory arthritis screening.
