    Evidence is insufficient. Fisetin has been reported to activate SIRT1 in cell-based assays, alongside other flavonoids, which is how it entered the longevity supplement category. That literature carries a specific caution: the fluorescent assay used to identify most sirtuin activators, including resveratrol, produced artefacts that did not hold up with native substrates, and the whole class of dietary sirtuin activators has been substantially deflated as a result. No human study has measured sirtuin activity after fisetin, and there is no validated clinical assay for it.

    Reviews preclinical evidence that fisetin acts as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory flavonoid, modulating SIRT1, NF-kB, PI3K/Akt and mTOR signalling, with neuroprotective and anticancer activity in cell and animal models. Typical dietary intake is far below the doses used experimentally, and oral bioavailability is poor.
