Zinc for Low Testosterone (Male Hypogonadism)
Zinc is required for normal testicular steroidogenesis, and deficiency lowers testosterone. Supplementation corrects that, but trials in zinc-replete men show no meaningful increase.

Verdict
Zinc restores testosterone in men who are deficient and does essentially nothing in men who are not. Worth checking if you are vegetarian, a heavy drinker or have gut malabsorption; otherwise this is not the lever.

Zinc supplementation was found to significantly increase the semen volume, sperm motility and the percentage of normal sperm morphology.
Safety
Caveats
Do not stack this above 40 mg daily long-term chasing a bigger effect — you will induce copper deficiency, which causes anaemia and neurological symptoms. Confirm low testosterone on two morning samples before treating it at all. The largest randomised trial of zinc for male reproductive endpoints (FAZST, n=2,370) found no improvement in semen quality or live birth versus placebo; positive findings come mainly from small studies in zinc-deficient men.
