How it works
Cardiac myocytes rely almost entirely on oxidative phosphorylation for ATP. Restoring CoQ10 improves respiratory-chain efficiency and contractile energetics in energy-starved myocardium.
In parallel, ubiquinol reduces oxidative stress and preserves nitric-oxide bioavailability in the endothelium, which contributes to the modest improvements in flow-mediated dilation and systolic blood pressure seen in trials.

Safety
Safety profile
Tolerability is high even at 300 mg/day sustained for years. Mild nausea and epigastric discomfort are the usual complaints and often resolve with divided dosing.
