    Electron Transport Chain Support

Optimized mitochondrial electron transfer for maximum ATP synthesis.

    TL;DR

CoQ10 and riboflavin are genuine electron transport cofactors, and deficiency in either measurably impairs ATP output. In people already replete, supplementing does not raise energy production further.

    Why It Matters

Complex I and II dysfunction underlies primary mitochondrial disease, statin myopathy, and some migraine phenotypes. Riboflavin responsiveness is well documented in migraine prophylaxis and in certain metabolic myopathies.

    How to Measure

    Biomarkers

    Plasma CoQ10
    Lactate-to-pyruvate ratio
    Creatine kinase
    Riboflavin status (EGRAC)

    Optimization Protocol

Confirm a plausible reason for deficiency: statin use, migraine, ageing, or diagnosed mitochondrial disease. Then CoQ10 100-200 mg ubiquinol daily with fat, or riboflavin 400 mg daily for migraine prophylaxis. Aerobic training drives mitochondrial biogenesis more effectively than any supplement.
