Meta-analysis of 30 randomised controlled trials (33 datasets) of casein-derived lactotripeptides on blood pressure in adults
Key Findings
Pooled treatment effect was -2.95 mmHg for systolic and -1.51 mmHg for diastolic blood pressure; reductions were significantly larger in Japanese than European trials, and the 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure response was non-significant.
Conclusions
Casein-derived lactotripeptides produce a small but statistically significant reduction in office blood pressure, with uncertain effect on ambulatory blood pressure.

Substantial heterogeneity between Japanese and European populations; office rather than ambulatory measurement drove the effect; many small industry-linked trials.
