Organic salts (citrate, glycinate) show better bioavailability than magnesium oxide.

    Conclusions

    Magnesium repletion is well supported for defined clinical indications and low-risk at ordinary doses, but claims across the wider range of conditions rest on small or heterogeneous trials.
