    Key Findings

    Quercetin reduced systolic BP by 3.04 mm Hg (95% CI -5.75 to -0.33) and diastolic BP by 2.63 mm Hg (95% CI -3.26 to -2.01). Doses >=500 mg/day drove the effect; doses <500 mg/day were not significant.

    Conclusions

    Quercetin supplementation produces small but statistically significant reductions in both systolic and diastolic blood pressure.

    Limitations

    Small pooled sample, few trials, heterogeneous populations and formulations; indirect dose comparisons were not statistically significant.
