    Abstract

    Randomized clinical trial of burdock root tea on inflammatory and oxidative stress markers in knee osteoarthritis.

    Burdock root tea for 42 days significantly reduced serum interleukin-6, high-sensitivity CRP and malondialdehyde and increased total antioxidant capacity versus control in knee osteoarthritis.

    Conclusions

    Burdock root tea improved inflammatory and oxidative-stress biomarkers, though clinical symptom benefit was not established.
