    Methodology

    Randomized, double-blind trial using stable isotope tracers to measure myofibrillar and muscle connective protein synthesis rates after resistance exercise with collagen protein, whey protein or placebo.

    Collagen protein ingestion did not increase muscle connective tissue protein synthesis rates above placebo, and whey was superior for myofibrillar synthesis.
