    Methodology

    Randomised controlled clinical trial in 120 dyspeptic patients with positive rapid urease test, comparing clarithromycin-based triple therapy alone versus triple therapy plus licorice for two weeks, with eradication assessed six weeks after therapy

    Key Findings

    Adding licorice to standard triple therapy raised eradication response from about 62.5% to 83.3%.

    Conclusions

    Licorice may work as an adjunct to conventional eradication therapy rather than as a stand-alone treatment.
