    Key Findings

    Adjunctive selenium with antithyroid drugs was associated with faster normalisation of thyroid hormones and lower TRAb/TPOAb at 6 months.

    Conclusions

    Selenium may accelerate biochemical euthyroidism as an adjunct to antithyroid drugs, but included trials were heterogeneous and of modest quality.
