    Abstract

    Double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover study of 15 healthy subjects. Bilberry extract (50mg anthocyanins) significantly improved night vision adaptation and reduced glare recovery time. Effects observed within 2-4 hours and sustained for 8 hours. Mechanism through enhanced rhodopsin regeneration. Traditional use by WWII pilots supported by objective measurements.
