    Systematic review and random-effects meta-analysis of 8 RCTs of NMN 250-2000 mg/day for 14 days to 12 weeks in middle-aged and older adults (49% female, mainly non-diabetic).

    Key Findings

    No significant benefit of NMN on fasting glucose, fasting insulin, HbA1c, HOMA-IR or lipid profile.

    Conclusions

    Short-term supplementation of NMN of 250-2000 mg/d did not show significantly positive impacts on glucose control and lipid profile.

    Limitations

    Small number of RCTs, mainly healthy adults, short durations up to 12 weeks.
