Network meta-analysis of 37 randomized controlled trials of seven natural products (curcumin, silymarin, resveratrol, artichoke leaf extract, berberine, catechins, naringenin) in NAFLD.
Key Findings
Artichoke leaf extract ranked highest for reducing AST (SUCRA 99.1%) and ALT (SUCRA 88.2%); other botanicals showed smaller or inconsistent effects.
Conclusions
Several botanicals improve liver enzymes in NAFLD, but rankings rest on few small trials each.
