Published in J Int Soc Sports Nutr, Vol. 7, pp. 17

    Methodology

    Key Findings

Pain rose less with cherry juice than placebo on a 100 mm visual analogue scale (12 vs 37 mm, p < .001).

    Conclusions

Tart cherry juice for 7 days before and during a strenuous run can reduce post-run muscle pain.

    Limitations

Single pain outcome; no strength or blood markers reported in the abstract.
