    Methodology

    Systematic review and meta-analysis of 20 randomized clinical trials of antioxidant supplementation in women with ovarian aging (PROSPERO CRD42022359529)

    Key Findings

    Antioxidants increased retrieved oocyte numbers and high-quality embryo rates, reduced gonadotropin dose and improved clinical pregnancy rates. CoQ10 outperformed melatonin, myo-inositol and vitamins; benefit was clearest at lower doses (around 30 mg/day for 3 months pre-cycle) and in women under 35 with diminished ovarian reserve.

    Conclusions

    Antioxidants appear to be a safe complementary option in ovarian aging, with CoQ10 the best-supported agent, though effects are mostly on intermediate IVF endpoints.
