    Abstract

A systematic review and network meta-analysis evaluating the comparative efficacy of different oral H1 antihistamines and dosages in improving symptoms of allergic rhinitis.

    Methodology

Network meta-analysis pooling multiple RCTs to rank comparative efficacy of oral H1 antihistamines for allergic rhinitis.

    Key Findings

Certain second-generation oral H1 antihistamines and higher approved doses showed greater efficacy in reducing total nasal symptom scores, including sneezing.

    Conclusions

Choice and dosage of oral H1 antihistamine can meaningfully affect symptom control in allergic rhinitis.

    Limitations

Indirect comparisons carry uncertainty; heterogeneity in trial populations, outcome measures, and antihistamine formulations.
