    Study demonstrating 4g myo-inositol daily for 12 months significantly improved metabolic syndrome parameters including insulin sensitivity, blood pressure, and lipid profile in postmenopausal women.

    Methodology

    Randomised controlled trial of myo-inositol plus diet versus diet alone with metabolic syndrome components measured over 12 months.

    In postmenopausal women with metabolic syndrome, myo-inositol 2 g twice daily improved insulin sensitivity (HOMA-IR), lowered triglycerides and diastolic blood pressure and raised HDL cholesterol compared with diet and lifestyle alone over 12 months.
