    Systematic review of randomised placebo-controlled trials of vitamin B-6 for premenstrual syndrome.

    Pooled odds ratio favoured vitamin B-6 over placebo for overall premenstrual symptoms, though included trials were of low methodological quality.

    Conclusions

    Doses up to 100 mg/day of vitamin B-6 are likely to benefit premenstrual symptoms, but the evidence base is weak.

    Included trials were small and of poor quality; publication bias possible.
