    Published in Electronic Physician

    Methodology

Double-blind randomized clinical trial in 52 cancer patients undergoing hormone therapy, chemotherapy, chemoradiation or radiotherapy, comparing processed honey plus royal jelly with pure honey control on cancer-related fatigue symptoms

    Key Findings

The honey plus royal jelly combination was associated with reduced fatigue scores, but royal jelly cannot be isolated from honey in the intervention.

    Conclusions

Any fatigue benefit comes from a combination product in a small oncology sample.

    Limitations

Small sample; combination intervention; active honey comparator; single centre.
