    Methodology

    Open-label Phase 1 pilot study of 3 days oral dasatinib 100 mg plus quercetin 1000 mg with adipose and skin biopsies measuring senescent cell markers

    Key Findings

    Three days of dasatinib plus quercetin reduced adipose tissue senescent cell burden within 11 days, including decreases in p16-positive cells.

    Conclusions

    Intermittent senolytic dosing measurably decreases senescent cell burden in humans.

    Limitations

    Very small open-label pilot with no placebo control, short follow-up, quercetin given with a prescription chemotherapy drug rather than alone.
