Pilot double-blind randomized placebo-controlled trial of 4,000 IU/day vitamin D3 in adults with obstructive sleep apnea

Vitamin D raised 25(OH)D substantially and lowered LDL cholesterol and lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2, but produced no change in neuropsychological measures or quality of life, and no change in BMI or CPAP usage.
Conclusions
Vitamin D supplementation shifted selected metabolic markers but did not improve symptom-level or quality of life outcomes in OSA.
