Published in British Journal of Nutrition

During 6 months of energy restriction, milk supplementation blunted the rise in hunger and desire to eat; fasting ghrelin and other appetite hormones were tracked alongside.
Conclusions
Dairy protein/calcium supplementation supports appetite control during weight loss.
Limitations
Small sample (n=25), single-blind, ghrelin changes secondary and modest.
Outcomes Measured
Anthropometric parameters and fasting plasma concentrations of glucose, insulin, leptin, ghrelin and cortisol were measured as well.
