    Cochrane systematic review of randomized controlled trials of black cohosh for menopausal symptoms.

    There was no significant difference between black cohosh and placebo in the frequency of hot flushes or in menopausal symptom scores across the pooled trials.

    Conclusions

    There is currently insufficient evidence to support the use of black cohosh for menopausal symptoms.
