Methodology
Randomised double-blind placebo-controlled trial of Dang Gui Buxue Tang (Angelica sinensis with Astragalus) for 6 months in 100 postmenopausal women with hot flushes.
Key Findings
Hot flush severity decreased in both groups, with no statistically significant advantage for the herbal formula over placebo on the primary endpoint.
Conclusions
An Angelica sinensis-containing traditional formula did not clearly outperform placebo for menopausal hot flushes.
